Week of February 7th
- Today we all participated in a Guinness World Record activity. Our school, and other schools in Nova Scotia were trying to break a world record for making the most snow angels at the same time. We went to the community field, and in rows of 20, we all fell down at the same time, and then we made a snow angel.
- We are working on a Webquest called Eating Under the Rainbow using the Canada Food Guide. This is a group project where one of us is either the group's Baker, Produce Manager, Butcher or Dairy Farmer. We are using the school's new computer cart to work on our webquests. We are learning about healthy foods.
- Many of us have finished one of our bitstrip projects, and have had it published. Those students shared their comic with the class on Friday. We will make a class book of our bitstrips for sharing at Student-Led Conferences.
- In Math, we are now working on subtracting 2 digit numbers with re-grouping. To help us regroup, we learned a chant, "If there is more on the floor, go next door, get 10 more."
- There are new links posted on this blog to help us with building our math skills. Check them out!
