Week of January 3

Highlights of the Week:

• We made "Puzzled Snowmen" in Art.
• We started a unit on Poetry.
• We started a unit on Number Sense.  We are looking at Place Value now.
• We made posters about the end of term Student-Led Conferences.
• Our class has been working on writing comic strips with bitstripsforschools.com
• On Tuesday a new student joined our class.  His name is Dakota. 
• In Music we are playing two new pieces on the recorder.
• In Health we are looking at stranger-danger on the internet. Our teacher showed us a website about staying safe online.  It was about the Three Cyber Pigs. 
• We started a new novel titled Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone by J.K. Rowling.
• In gym we are teaming up in three groups to make letters and numbers.  The first group to make the letter or numbers get a point. 
• We switched our entrance and our coat hooks.  We now come in the upper east door.
