We started a new novel this week. It is called Because of Winn-Dixie by Kate DiCamillo. It is a book about a girl named India Opal Buloni who finds a stray dog in the Winn-Dixie grocery store, and she brings it home. It is a kind of sad and yet funny story.
On Thursday afternoon we did art! We did watercolour painting.
We learned we should be gentle with the paintbrush.
We practiced painting bold lines, and skinny lines. We practiced making patterns. Then we each did our own paintings, which we really liked.
This morning we made Storybirds with Mrs. Lockerby's grade five class. Storybirds were fun! We also started a powerpoint about our reflections on the storybird project. Powerpoint was really fun!
Today Marble is going home with Vance.
Kobe was one of the winners of the fish draw. He was given a fish for reliability.
